A 33-year-old woman who travelled to Aberystwyth to purchase a slush puppy machine during the emergency restrictions has left court with a bill of £811.
The court heard that on 21/05/2020 at the A44 Capel Bangor, Ceredigion, without reasonable excuse, during the emergency period, Jade Stuart of 20 Stonefield Close Coventry left or remained away from the place where she was living, having travelled to Aberystwyth in order to purchase a ‘slush puppy’ machine. Contrary to regulations 8(1) and 12(1)(b) & (4) of the Health Protection (Coronavirus).
Stuart was fined £660.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge of £66.00 and costs of £85.00.
