Meysydd parcio talu ac arddangos Ceredigion / Ceredigion pay and display car parks

O ddydd Mawrth, 01 Rhagfyr 2020, mae dull talu am barcio heb arian parod wedi cael ei gyflwyno yn rhan fwyaf o feysydd parcio talu ac arddangos Cyngor Sir Ceredigion. Bydd y taliadau yn parhau ar gyfradd 2019/2020.

Ni fydd taliadau yn berthnasol ym meysydd parcio’r Cyngor yn Aberteifi am y tro o ganlyniad i’r gyfradd heintio leol o COVID-19 sydd yno ar hyn o bryd.

Mae’r taliadau parcio wedi cael eu hatal ledled Ceredigion oddi ar fis Mawrth 2020 o ganlyniad i COVID-19 a’r cyfnod clo cenedlaethol. Mae cyflwyno dull talu am barcio heb arian parod yn un ffordd o leihau’r risgiau o drosglwyddo COVID-19 sy’n gysylltiedig â thaliadau ag arian parod.

Yn ystod cyfarfod o’r Cabinet a gynhaliwyd yn rhithiol ar 01 Rhagfyr 2020, trafodwyd deiseb yn erbyn ailgyflwyno ffioedd parcio. Mae’r rhan fwyaf o ddarparwyr parcio, gan gynnwys pob Awdurdod Lleol sy’n ffinio, naill ai wedi codi tâl yn llawn neu’n rhannol trwy gydol cyfnod COVID-19 tra na fu unrhyw daliadau yng Ngheredigion am fwy na 8 mis. Mae’r golled o ran incwm i Geredigion wedi bod yn sylweddol ac mae Llywodraeth Cymru wedi nodi na fyddant yn gwrthbwyso colledion parhaus. O ganlyniad, mae’r sefyllfa yn anghynaliadwy ac, am hynny, roedd yn rhaid ailgyflwyno taliadau parcio.

Bydd parcio am ddim yn cael ei ddarparu ddydd Sadwrn 05, 12 a 19 Rhagfyr 2020 ymhob maes parcio talu ac arddangos y Cyngor yn y cyfnod sy’n arwain at y Nadolig.

From Tuesday, 01 December 2020, cashless charging has been introduced in most Ceredigion County Council pay and display car parks. The charges being held at 2019/2020 rates.

No charges will continue to apply at the Council’s car parks in Cardigan at this time due to the current local COVID-19 infection rate.

The parking charges have been suspended across Ceredigion since late March 2020 due to the COVID-19 outbreak and the national lockdown. Introducing cashless charging is one way of reducing the risks of COVID-19 transmission associated with cash transactions.

During a Cabinet meeting held virtually on 01 December 2020, a petition was discussed against reintroducing the parking fees. Most parking providers, including all neighbouring Local Authorities, have charged either fully or partly throughout the COVID-19 period while no charges have been made in Ceredigion for over 8 months. The loss of income for Ceredigion has been significant and the Welsh Government have indicated that they will not offset ongoing losses. The situation is therefore unsustainable and as such parking charges have had to be reintroduced.

Free parking will be provided on Saturday 05, 12 and 19 of December 2020 at all Council pay and display car parks in the run up to Christmas.
